Electoral Commissioner (Independence) Bill 2005

700.023 The Electoral Commissioner must not, whether directly or indirectly, in any manner give support to, or oppose, any party or candidate participating in an election, or any of the issues in contention between parties or candidates.

700.024 The Electoral Commissioner must not serve (formally or informally) as a member of the Cabinet or the presidential staff.
